Employees to Volunteer
We need volunteers to teach parents how to use the internet for job searches, homework help and more. We also recruit volunteers several times a year to help us carry out community building activities for our clients. These include a summer barbeque and a winter holiday party. Salesforce.com Offers $50,000 Challenge Grant to Help Bridge Digital Divide Amoungst Homeless and Recently Housed Families!
Salesforce.com, the global leader in customer service software, has challenged Hamilton Family Center to promote digital inclusion amongst the families we serve. With a very generous $50,000 challenge grant, Salesforce.com is partnering with us to launch Technology Pathways: Computers for Families on the Road to Self-Sufficiency. This program will provide a combination of access, training, and equipment to families we have recently housed.
Through Technology Pathways: Computers for Families on the Road to Self-Sufficiency, we will provide:
· Desktop computers for each family (including a monitor, speakers and basic software),
· Internet Access for one year,
· In-home set up of computers along with a basic training, email account sign-in, and trouble shooting solutions for any problems that may arise, and
· On-going Community Computer Trainings
